A case has been registered with Kapurbawdi police.30 am in the Manpada area of Thane city in the early hours of Thursday when the victims were returning from a village in Ghodbunder Road after attending a pre-marriage function of an acquaintance, said an officer at caster wheels wholesale Kapurbawdi police station. Ankush Chandwade and Arjun Pardi, both in their late 30s, died on the spot in the mishap.

Two people died while four others were injured after the driver of a car lost control over its whe-el, hit a divider and the car turned turtle on Man-pada flyover, Ghodbunder Road in Thane.The accident took place around 12.According to an officer at Kapurbawdi police station.

"The bodies were se-nt to the Thane civil hospital for a post-mortem and a case of accidental death was registered.""The four persons with superficial injuries were admitted to a local hospital and they are recuperating," he said and added that all six were residents of the Manpada area.The police also said that nowadays, Thane roads had quite literally turned into a death trap for commuters as the ongoing metro work, coupled with dug-up service roads, had caused two fatalities last week.The driver apparently lost control over the wheel following which, the vehicle crashed into the divider, damaging it severely, the police said
